What
can I say? Best £16 I ever spent.
Arrived
at the gig to catch the last song of first support act - Rock n roll
ending was ace. Then another local band with a cutie blonde singer
who blasted them out one after another with some really catchy tunes
- liked 'em.
Then
yet more support with strange near-naked lady stilt dancing, sexy
Monroe look-a-like strip show and an American "Kitten on the
Keys" with pigs for nipples, singing funny songs which of
course got the Wolves crowd shouting complimentary remarks. It was
all very bizzare. Very entertaining though and that's what it's all
about.......
Then on came The Damned with Monty playing behind a cage......? Dave
in his usual black and white and Captain in an old ripped jumper and
scruffy clobber.
They
only played three from M.G.E but didn't dissapoint because they did
"New Rose" and lots of other favourites.
The
Damned always look like they are enjoying themselves which feeds back
through the crowd. "Sensible's a Wanker" sang the moshing
crowd as Captain had a few tech problems but he just growled humerously
at them and "flicked the V's". He's not right you know?
Then
Pinch went off with a bad hand and a Roadie took his seat and did
a great job as encore substitute.
Come
back soon........Fan-fuckin-tastic!
Swill......Halesowen.
